BITTERSWEET FOR THE GREEN COMMUNITY.

THEY HELD THE BANNER HIGH AND BRIGHT. . . .

Something has got to give. In this case, one team had to - and unfortunately it was the De La Salle Green Archers that did.

I decided to do this just now because I didn't want to post/write my thoughts about it just when the pain over the loss is way too fresh. Yeah. Just pain - no bitterness at all even though our season ended at the hands of our bitter rivals.

It was one of those games where one [Lasallian] can graciously accept defeat because we witnessed not [just] a painful loss but a glimpse into a bright future for the green community.

Tongues wagged prior to the match saying that the Archers overachieved already - that term doesn't sit well with me actually. It insinuates/d that the Archers can only perform at a certain level - presumably lower than the other teams but in that game, I guess it's safe to say that the Archers were able to show supporters and naysayers alike that they deserved to be in the Final Four and that they wouldn't settle for anything less than the top spot.

Failed though they did, I am SO DAMN PROUD of the entire team for what a very good season it has been. They did not go down without a fight - they fought hard and poured their hearts out because they knew that the entire community was there. . .believing and keeping the faith with them all through the end.

To the entire coaching staff, members of the OSD and to Ambassador Danding Cojuangco - we thank and salute you for the support and hard work that you did/gave for the team.

The season may have ended not quite to our liking but this just makes the road to redemption all the more exciting.

See y'all [bitches!] next season!

ANIMO LA SALLE!!!
