Solstice
Today is the solstice. This makes me kind of sad - days will seem longer as sunset gets later but dawn will also start to get later and the number of hours of sunshine will decrease. I love sunshine and I love the solstice - much prefer to celebrate that than Christmas, though I also like gift shopping and more importantly, wrapping.
My dad arrives today from interstate and I'm very excited. Christmas Arhcer-ish style is tomorrow, and work today is a mere 6 hours starting at 11am (which makes it a really crap shift as I can't really do *anything* this morning). My back/hip is doing pretty well at the moment and I'm really thrilled about that. There really is only one thing more I wanted for Christmas this year ;).
