Anon, are you posting this comment in response to the recent thread about disturbing fills? If so, I think you're probably fine; it sounds like the story those anons are talking about was only reposted somewhere within the last day or two, which means it's probably not this one.

For what it's worth, I think you made it clear what your story was about before you began, and are also being faithful to the prompt, so I don't feel you should have to take this fill off the meme even if people did happen to be bothered by it. Non-con and torture are perfectly valid kinks. Heck, they're my kinks! There are all sorts of reasons people might write and read them, and I think it's pretty obvious that 99.9% of the people who write scenarios like this don't endorse them. (In other words, just because you write rape or torture doesn't mean you think it's okay. You might even write it because you don't think it's okay, and the prospect disturbs you so much that it goes all the way around again and becomes intriguing.)

I think it's completely valid to write stories where disturbing content is the kink, even though it's also valid to be squicked or upset by them. If anything, that just seems to suggest that we might need better communication between authors and readers, so that people who are disturbed by content like this can recognize and avoid it better. I'm open to hearing people's suggestions about how we might best do that, actually -- maybe I or another nonnie should bring that issue up in the original thread.

DA

I agree that the fill they were talking about is not this one. OP had said I read a newly-posted fic somewhere (well, newly posted where I read it, not brand new) which means that it was not something they read here but something that had just been reposted somewhere else.

The rest of this comment brings up good points and we probably should discuss how best to avoid situations like OP's from happening in the future.
