Wow, where to start. Well, about 3 weeks ago Angi broke her collar bone while we were out sledding. She was walking up the hill, and a boy coming down, hit her, and sent her flying, landing on her left shoulder. Now, trying to keep her arm in a sling is driving me nuts. They can't do anything else, but put it in a sling, so she hasn't been able to go to gymnastics, or irish dance classes.
There has been no school all week (winter break), so we have had a house full of girls all week, plus two sleep overs, one Wed nite, and one Thursday nite. Whew!! No, all is not calm, everyone is tired and grouchy....geesh! Argue with a 7 year old.....try 5 of them!! They have this new thing, its really cool actually, they are all collecting these lil stuffed animals, called Webkinz. They come with a code, that you go to their web site, and put it in, then you go there and name your animal, then you can feed it, build a room, furnish it, etc... but you have to earn dollars, and you do that thru playing games on the site.
http://www.webkinz.com/ it keeps them busy, and out of trouble, but I have to use an egg timer so they all get a turn at the computer.
Angi is doing well at school. She makes us proud of her. She handles things so much better now, with little frustration. She has come a long way. She doessn't take any crap from the older kids in her classes, and they have begun to respect her for her intelligence. Its pretty hard for a 7year old, to be in classes with High school jr and seniors, and know more than they do. She has tried to help some of them, but its like they feel embarrassed to have her help them, except for one girl, Janelle, she has come to the house a couple of times, and Angi helps her. They are great together, and she is like a "protectorate" of Angi's at school.
Meg is doing great, only 5 more weeks to go! She has been trying to help out, but Angi and I both keep on her about over doing it. The doc is pleased with how everything is going. She looks like its going to be twins! shhhh, don't tell her I said that, she is hormonal enough! Me, well, I go to the YMCA every morning at 5:15, thats when they open, and I do my nautilus, then the eliptical, then a half hour on the treadmill, and then go for a swim, and home. I am home just in time to take Angi to school. Then, I work a lil from home; I am consluting for my old company, and doing some engineering work for them . I do have to get up early some nights to talk to the teams in Iraq. Yup, they are still over there in that mess. You get it all up and running, and two weeks later, they blow it up. Don't make any sense to me any more, but never did actually. Its just one big bloody mess!
I will start school again in the summer. Hopefully catch up to my class, and get back with them in Sept.
My sisters are doing great. They have been a godsend to us, taking turns coming in and helping, getting Angi from school, and just plain helping out when they can, or inbetween there classes. They still have there boy friends at Annapolis, its been along time for them, maybe a permenant thing, huh?
Well, thats a "quickie".....slow days, not very exciting. Just waiting for that "moment" when I get my son..:)
Take care all, I will be better at this, I promise.
