Mattias' story is getting more characters oh my!
This is Caul. He kind of looks like Orlando Bloom when I'm not drawing him.. He is also what you could call Mattias' "rival", as he's Orphoros' avatar. He was an Orphlegian Knight/"Sun Knight" when Mattias was actually in them. And one of the "perks" of being an Orphlegian Knight is that, if you're ranked high enough, you are a candidate for being chosen for Orphoros' avatar (which is different from being Nocta's). Caul himself was friendly with Mattias, though they weren't BFFs because rofl. No one was BFFs with Mattias he was too weird.
OH MY GOD IT'S ACTUALLY A WOMAN aka Nocta Ahl. Ahl's part of a nomadic desert/surface people who can be traced back to the descendants of Nocta's original worshippers. They still worship Nocta on the surface, and send differnt groups out in a vain attempt to find her soul. The leaders of the groups are priestesses, which are called "Nocti". Nocti are appointed with the title of Nocta and then renamed with a name describing their personality. "Ahl" in the older language means "sharp shrew" because rofl. Well you can guess why. Anyway, Ahl is the chick who picks Mattias up after he's been wandering the desert for 3 months after the real Nocta joined with him. They become really close friends, with Ahl attempting to be Mattias' common sense.

rofl i was actually trying to draw baroona as a girl here but... he just came out looking like normal.
