Sakamichi no Apollon is a Shogakukan title, so I think we're dependent on Viz to license it (it's from the same magazine as Kaze Hikaru, and we see how successful that is for Viz). Such a shame; I'd really like to read it someday... I guess I should try to catch the anime soon! (oh wait, it got licensed for dvd/bluray release. i should wait for that!) At least the Natsuyuki Rendezvous manga is fair game for other publishers.
Thanks for the tip about the manga-seller! After School Nightmare is one I kinda intended to pick up sometime but never did (and then discovered it was out of print...)
(By the way, I made a Kinokuniya order last night. I was convinced to pick up Tou Lang Merry Rose :D Did you write about Merry Rose before? I couldn't find any post(s?) about it, looking through your tags...)
Somehow I can't keep track of the Japanese publishers! Thanks for straightening me out :) - well, in that case, I will look to the French or buy the Japanese takobon - went to check, they didn't even have Kaze Hikaru - I'm shocked! Also, I'm interested in Flat that TP announced the license last year before their shutting down. I wonder if anyone got it? And Twinkle Stars!!!! I wonder what happens to that one. Fingers crossed on Natsuyuki Rendezvous.
You're welcome. I'm glad you got them :)
"I was convinced to pick up Tou Lang Merry Rose ..." Oh, exciting :) - I remembered talking to you about it before, but I couldn't find the discussion. Maybe it's in your journal. I hope you like the series. The heroine is very strong and interesting. There is a mystery which I didn't understand very well. I can't wait until you got your volumes and read them. - eta: Sorry, I forgot to answer your question. I did pick up all 3 volumes of Tou Lang Merry Rose.
Epi 2: Hazuki wants to have a follow-up date with Rokka, but Shimao, her ghostly husband, literally keeps getting in the way. Will Rokka be able to move on with her life? Will Shimao be able to move on with his death? Will Hazuki be able to make his move Epi 3: Rokka is still down with a cold, so Hazuki and Miho have to mind the store and take care of Rokka. But when Shimao gets depressed, it triggers a scary phenomenon that goes beyond his usual immaterial existence.. Epi 4: Hazuki takes Rokka on their first real date to an amusement park, but without the ghost of Shimao looking over his shoulder, will he overplay his hand? And can Rokka forget about Shimao for one day, or is it impossible since they had gone a date at the same amusement park years before Epi 5: Shimao is in Hazuki's body, trying to woo his widowed wife back, and starts by giving Hazuki a radical makeover. Meanwhile, Hazuki's "spirit" seems stuck on a magical deserted island with a fairy-sized Rokka for company Epi 6: Some points
