Ayase Chihaya is a sixth grader whose dream is for her older sister to become the top model in Japan. But one day, a transfer student, Wataya Arata, tells her that her dream should be about herself. Arata's dream is to become a famous competitive Karuta player. Chihaya is somewhat shocked when she sees how intense the normally reserved Arata gets about the card game. Eventually, she and her childhood friend Mashima Taichi find themselves being captivated by Karuta. Arata is thrilled by Chihaya's talent and extraordinary hearing, as well as the fact that he has friends to play Karuta with now, but they are forced to go their separate ways after graduating from grade school.
Four years later, Chihaya enters high school and discovers that Arata, who returned to Fukui, no longer plays Karuta. However, she believes that if she continues to play, they will one day be reunited. And so, she and Taichi start a Karuta club at Mizusawa High School.
Episode 1: Now the Flower Blooms
Sixth grade was when Ayase Chihaya met Wataya Arata, the transfer student from Fukui. The shy and quiet Arata was hiding a surprising talent. He knew how to play the competitive karuta version of Ogura's Hundred Poets. Chihaya is stunned by the intensity Arata displays when playing karuta.
- I don't know much about this series, but I like the main picture above. It looks like it could be a love triangle. I'm not sure if it shojo or shonen. It doesn't matter. I like the characters' designs. I like the characters and hopefully the story. So I'll continue watching it. Well maybe saving many episodes and do a watching binge :)

Epi 1: On our 17th Spring
A beautiful spring. As usual, new Homare High School second years Shuta, Yuki, Kaname and Shun head to school under the sakura in full bloom. Kaname sets out to fill the gaps of his classmate Yuki's high school experience by forcing him to join a club.
- Cute. It reminds me of Here is Greenwood.
- Shun look-alike also name Shun is more naive than he. The twins reminds me of Hikaru and Kaoru in Ouran High when they used to be in bored state. The glass boy reminds me of Kyoya in Ouran High
- relaxed and fun episode so far. The ending of episode 1 is very funny :)

It's really fun series. It's similar to Kanoko, except that the girl is less dense! She's very driven, though. They have an innocent friendship. I've read the summaries and got the first volume. The series is currently 7 volumes. #8 is out next week.- Characters of interests:
- Shizuku is the main character. The girl on the cover. Her only goal is life is to make lots of money like her mother so she studies hard. Studying to get excellent grade is the most important thing to her. She's like Kanoko except she doesn't care much for people observer. Her motto is study study and study.
- Haru: The boy on the cover. He's a new transfer and has been on not "detention" on the first day because he got into a fight.
- Yamaken: similar to Hanai. She longs to have girl friends but doesn't have any because of her good look. So she goes on internet and join girl groups. She also has a blog.
- Sasayan: he's the combination of Natsukusa and Yamada, he's more like Yamada.
- I had picked up シューカツ!! ～キミに内定 - Shuukatsu!! - Kimi ni Naitei 2 volumes complete (manga updates). I like the art a lot.
- Characters of interests (or main characters)
- The heroine Yuri (first name): the girl on both covers. She's in the end of her junior year of college and trying to get a job.
- The hero Manabe Rioji: the boy on covers. He's an high achiever and very popular at school. He's a year her senior. Their paths wouldn't have passed if they hadn't met at a job interview!
- The heroine's best friend Mitsu. She's somewhat popular at school and protective of the heroine. I like her a lot.
- 会長さんちの子ねこ - Kaichou-san Chi no Ko Neko, 1 volume complete, Manga Updates.
It's about a strict and capable Student Council president. His life is somewhat turned up side down when he became a reluctant care taker for a kitten. Other students started to see his softer side.
- Kana (a french publisher which publishes Hotaru, Cat Street, Professeur Eiji ...) just licensed Akagami no Shirayukihime (赤髪の白雪姫 - Red Haired Snow White) by AKIZUKI Sorata the first 2 volumes will be released Jan 2012 - yay via Manga Conseil.
