Manga Updates Story and Art by Natsumi Ando
From Random HouseLOVE SAFARI
Chino wants what every teen girl wants: to fall in love! But when it finally happens, it’s not exactly what she expected. Her father, a great explorer, brings home his latest find: Hyo, a boy who was raised in the jungle. Hyo is completely uncivilized, but he’s also supercute-and completely wild at heart. Can Chino really be falling for wild child Hyo?
Some points:
- borrowed from ILL.
- The art is so cute. I'd buy the book just because of Hyo kun :) He's so innocent.
- Pretty art. Even author admitted it was a story full of clice but it's very cute.
- Very good gentle love story for Tweens/pre Teens, I'd say.
Bottom line, I've been rereading parts of the story for a couple of times, now.
47. 4 volumes of 100% perfect girl (100%의 그녀).

Manga Updates Story and Art by Wann
From Net ComicsVol 1: Jay Jin is the headstrong teenage rebel, determined to prove she's serious about making art. J. Max is the tall debonair foreigner, in Korea on business, with more--much more--to his background than he lets on. On the surface, it would seem as though Jay and J. have nothing in common...until a chance encounter in a hotel lobby sparks a mysterious attraction. Will true love prove strong enough to overcome the language barrier, not to mention the thousands of miles separating two attractive people? Then there are the interventions of friends and family who think they know best... as well as a disastrous encounter with spicy chicken kebab! A giddy romantic fable for our ever-shrinking world, 100% Perfect Girl demonstrates the power of chemistry to conquer all.
From back cover:
Vol 2: Who can resist a King's proposal? Not even headstrong Jay Jin, try as she might. So after High School, it's off to the Kingdom of Roinne with her fiance, Jarte. But will she survive life as Queen-in-waiting? Can she pursue her art studies or make friends from behind a wall of bodyguards? How will she deal with Jarte's tragic past, and the jealousy of every girl in the kingdom? And how long will Jarte wait for her love to bloom before he takes what he wants by force? Beware, Jay Jin, is that sudden flash from the camera of some reporter, or the pisto of an assassin?
Vol 3: Jay saves Luigi, a mafia don, from an assassin's bullet, but gets knocked out. Luigi whisks her away to his hideout-perhaps to thank her perhaps to keep her. There they discover Jay has amnesia. Jarte, with all the resources of Roinne at his disposal, searches the world for Jay. But Jay doesn't even remember Jarte. Can she resist Luigi the handsome and strong leader who is so much like Jarte? When the forces of Roinne rescue her, it feels like a kidnapping to Jay. Luigi wears to rescue her. What does the future hold? Jay cannot even recognize her own brother, and she cannot forget the brave Luigi. Can Jarte reawaken her memories of love? Did Jay really love him to begin with? Hearts and lives hang in the balance in volume 3 of 100% Perfect Girl.
Some points:
- borrowed from ILL.
- Finally I got to read the first 3 volumes of 100% Perfect Girl.
- The male characters here are even more powerful! Especially when head of state and Mafia were involved. Yikes. Jarte is a bit obsessive - probably because of his past scar. What's Luigi's excuse?
- Also Jarte was about to rape Jay twice? He went down a lot of notches in my book. He's obsessive and possessive.
- Interesting but a bit more drama than Can't Lose You. I prefer Can't Lose You actually.
- onward to the next volumes.
Bottom line, I like the art, the story is a bit over the top for me. But I'll keep reading because of the art.
Rambling:
- Master Keaton manga is re-released and vol #1 was #19 and vol 2 was 22 the week of August 26- September 4, from ANN. I guess the legal battle was over? I read on wiki (wiki here) that there was a dispute between the authors regarding who did what. I'm hoping it'll get licensed.
- I am still obsessed with The Earl and the Fairy, or rather with Edgar and Lydia. They are so funny.
- So, I found my Koidano 3 copy :)
1) Why did Kanoko look irritated on page 9 before Tsubaki dropped his bag on her head?
2) What did she say to him on page 10?
3) What trouble did the newspaper club get into now? Both leader and the girl looked sad on page 13. Looks like Kanoko is scheming something.
4) On page 27, Kanoko was excited about something and Tsubaki pulled her away like a cat and that made her angry! What happened then and after that, when Tsubaki rode the bike home with her?
There are lots of words and it's close to impossible to guess what's going on from just picture!
