Vol 1: Yayoi--the 78th Head of Household of the Suzuka Clan--is a mystic with a tremendous power over the spirits. Of course, along with great power comes those with the desire to steal it! Enter Ura, who wants to become the King of the Demons. He comes to the human world to challenge Yayoi, but ends up stripped of his powers--and is sealed away as a black cat instead! Although Ura is still hell-bent on "eating" Yayoi's power, the unlikely pair find themselves caught up in an adventure they never imagined!
Vol 2: Unable to control his powers, Ouga’s Darkness begins to consume him. Yayoi can save Ouga, but she is quickly falling ill. Furthermore, Hakuyo is dead set on killing Yayoi, and Ura is the only thing standing in his way. Maybe, Hakuyo will find out how Yayoi’s feels about him and help her save Ouga?

Some points:
- borrowed from interlib loan.
- I'm curious about it since the author mentioned it in her later series that I've borrowed and now am collecting NG Life.
- Interesting.
- I like volume 2 better than #1.
- It seems that the series could be longer - there are a few hanging loose threads: Ura's father, Ura's brother and the person who carried him away ...
- I'm getting the omnibus volume since I like #2 for reread - but just getting #2 is incomplete, so omnibus it is.
- The cat is too cute for words. Lots of funny cats, too :)

Bottom line, fun short series.

En interrompant le mariage arrangé de Haruki, Nako précipite sans le vouloir la famille de celui-ci dans la misère, l'obligeant à fuir le pays. En réparation de la catastrophe, Nako doit accepter chez elle le jeune frère du marié : Konatsu. Or, les deux adolescents se détestent... De disputes en situations cocasses, ces deux-là finiront par se trouver. Par l'auteure de Lovely Complex.

Some points:
- from Manga updates: Yoshino Nako has a saying. "If I'm happy, I can do anything!"
In her sister's place, Nako-chan steals the groom of an arranged (political) marriage and helps them elope. But when the Hayami group starts failing, she must pay the consequence by housing the delinquent brother...
- fun short read.
- I like Nako a lot.
- I also like the event occurs at the end like a full circle.
- Short enough for reread.
- The delinquent brother - heh.

Bottom line, fun fast read. If you have a chance, check it out.

• retro/vintage manga: lyschan, have you seen this? There are so many beautiful pictures! I'm drooling.
• The revamp of Viz website broke all of my links - I'm thinking removing them all together! - I found out that searching works fine, so I can get to published series just fine. The schedule of releases is not available.
• Following up from the previous point, it seems that Yen is the only company that posts future releases info and has easy navigating website! Viz used to but ...
