Actually Yen Press uses the larger size fairly often with their books. I'm not sure how it's decided, but I think all the ones I've worked on so far are the bigger size... (maybe. i know at least two of them were). Maybe it has something to do with YP being owned by Hachette, which is a French publisher? (though they're a pretty big publisher in the US too.)

Hee, I liked all the same things as you for Stolen Hearts. Koguma's shyness, so cute~! And the colouring pages :D :D The series isn't on hiatus, but it is released at a slow pace-in a magazine that comes out every two months. She was working on another series at the same time that came out monthly, but that one ended a few months ago. But Stolen Hearts is still going, slow but steady! And actually I think that may work well for the series-the infrequent releases mean no super-drawn-out plots, so Shinobu and Koguma can just be happy and cute together without excessive drama. Yay!!

All of their manhwa that I own are larger in size. I only have 2 of their manga (Spiral and Yotsuba) and these are TP size.

I'm not sure, the other french manga that I have are in the japanese takobon size. So ... who knows?

Have you colored them?

I see. That means we will have to wait a long time after vol 4!

You're right, it does seem to be a manhwa thing with the larger size. Except Bunny Drop. And Yen's OEL-stuff, I think. And the series I worked on.

I haven't coloured them yet! I've been so busy lately-there was Lent, and now I've got work and catching up on all the stuff I couldn't read during Lent. But I definitely plan to! Are you going to/did you?

I think there are enough chapters released for book 5, so that should be coming out soon in Japan! And probably with the release rate here, we won't catch up too fast. The series she was working on until recently was Ai no Moto ni Tsudoe. Nadeshiko Club finished in 2003 :D (she worked on some other stuff in between-I know of a series called Nekomachi Shop Guide (2 vol) which seems to be related to Stolen Hearts-isn't the kimono shop part of Nekomachi shopping district?))

"Are you going to/did you?"
Probably not. I prefer keeping the books as-is. When/if you do, please share the end results, I look forward to seeing yours :)

"... Ai no Moto ni Tsudoe."
I hope Stolen hearts and Nadeshiko club do well for CMX so they'll license her other series, too :)

"isn't the kimono shop part of Nekomachi shopping district?"
You're right, it is.
