2. 5 episodes of Natsume Yujincho (夏目友人帳, Natsume Yūjinchō).
from Wikifrom ANNCrunchyroll - Interesting - I'm going to get the manga. I'm just waiting for a couple more volumes :)
- The cat is cute - he has an old man's voice even though he's so cuddly cute. The voice of his other form is cool.
- ep 1 and 2 are a bit slow.
- Ep 3 has some funny parts - especially the 2 characters :D. Natsume's lonely because he sees strange things. I like this one the best of 3 so far. Bad guy turns out not to be bad at all! I like Natsume more and more each episode, he's so kindhearted.
- Ep 4: test of courage.
- Ep 5: friendship.
3. 5 Centimeters per second (秒速5センチメートルアチェインオブショートストリーズアバウトゼアディスタンス, Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru a chein obu shōto sutorīzu abauto zea disutansu).
from Wikifrom ANNCrunchyroll - Cute. I'm glad I watched. Rewatch? No.
- I understand regrets. What I don't understand is why they didn't keep in touch after the meeting at the train station. Maybe she stopped writing? That wasn't clear to me. That's why I felt that he didn't try hard enough - I'm harsh. I'm glad he finally decided to do something that he wanted instead of following the flow!
4. Place Promised in Our Early Days (雲のむこう、約束の場所, Kumo no Mukō, Yakusoku no Basho, lit. "Beyond the Clouds, the Promised Place").
from Wikifrom ANNCrunchyroll - Very interesting. I like this one better than 5 Centimeters per Second.
- I like the friendship between the 2 boys.
- There was a part when I didn't know what happened which was revealed later. However, since I read the blurb, it confused me a little.
- Rewatch? Probably.
- There seems to be a running theme between the 3 anime (Voices of a Distant Star, 5 Centimeters per Second, and Place Promised in Our Early Days). I like the last one best. The first one, I prefer the manga.

17. How We Decide. First sentence: "There is a minute and twenty-one seconds left on the clock in the 2002 Super Bowl, and the score is tied."
wiki Written by Jonah Lehrer Author's Blog:
The Frontal Cortex Some points:
- I heard his interview on Terry Gross' Fresh Air about this book. I thought it was interesting. So I checked it out from the local public library.
- I learned a few things about myself - why I repeatedly check to see where my package was via usps/ups tracking site once I received the email that it was shipped. Why I check my friend page multiple times a day and my emails? Now that I understand it, you'd think it's easy for me to change my behavior. Not a chance. But I've decided that emails with tracking info aren't good for me personally and I'll try to ignore them next time.
- There are a few quotes that I really like. But I only remembered to tag this one: "Nothing focuses the mind like surprise."
- The chapter is hardest to read is The Moral Mind, because it talks about *damaged* part of the brain that causes people to numb to others' suffering.
- I didn't expect it to be an relative easy and fast read, but it is.
- There were life stories and experiments but they are by no means dry.
- I'll check out his other book for sure. I sound like a nerd :)
Bottom line, I'd recommend it if you're interested about how the brain decides. Reread? Yes.
18. 3 volumes of Full House (浪漫满屋).
wiki of the Korean drama based on the comicmanga updates Written and illustrated by Soo Yon Wo
From back of the books

Forced to live in the same house together, Elle and Ryder might turn out to be a very happy couple ... if they don't kill each other first!
Vol 2: Charade. The performance of a lifetime ...
Now "officially" engaged to world-famous actor Ryder Baye, Elle Gee must pretend to be the celebrity's faincee in order to save her home. And from the way they act when they are around each other, people would think they've been married for years! But when Elle's former boyfriend comes calling, hidden emotions rise to the surface and force Elle and Ryder to think about how they really feel about each other. in the game of love, who is fooling who?
Vol 3: Discord. Trouble in Paradise.
Just when things were becoming more civil between Alley and Ryder, she catches him in a bold-faced deception that only strengthens the animosity between them. Now, their business agreement may come to an end ... and if it does, Alley will lose ownership of Full House forever!
Some points:
- I'm curious about this since reading the review from
Manga Bookshelf.
- I like the arts. But Elle and Rider bicker too much. I sure hope that bickering doesn't last for 16 volumes which is the length of the series.
- It's strange that Elle's name changes to be Alley in volume 3, and Ryder Baye to Ryder Bay!
- I tried to understand why Elle flew of the handle and provoked Ryder.
- CPM published the first 4.
Netcomics has only up to chapter 3 of volume 3.
- I may get #4 depending. But I'm really tired of the repeat of Elle flies of the handle. I got the point of opposite attracts but ...
- Nitpicking: Elle's calling her father "Daddy" seems childish.
- I'm glad she has a very good friend in
Bottom line, I may check out netcomics for volume 4.
19. 1 volume of Oyayubihime Infinity (オヤユビヒメ∞(インフィニティ), Oyayubi-hime∞Infiniti).
wikimanga updates Written and illustrated by Toru Fujieda
from CMXFind out what happens when love gets in the way of fate in the new CMX series by creator Toru Fujieda! Long ago, a group of friends banded together - and now the whole gang has been reincarnated in the present day. Each has a reminder of the past: a butterfly-shaped birthmark on their thumbs. When the marks touch, they catch a glimpse of their shared past, though what they see doesn't always match.
Tsubame insists that he and Kanoko are fated to be together. By the time Kanoko finds out it's not true, it's too late: she's already fallen for him. In OYAYUBIHIME INFINITY, the "butterfly" friends must reconcile their ties to the past with their present desire for fun and romance!
Some points:
- I got this at a local comics bookstore for $1 since I remember reading some favorable review. Unfortunately, I can't remember where.
- Kanoko seems to be a strong character and she's a pillar for her sister.
- I'm curious about (eta) Miyake. I wonder why he went along with Yoshizawa who by the way seems to me like a tornado! He's full of emotions and one of the few male characters would tear up in the series.
- So far, there are 4 characters with butterfly birthmark.
- There are previews of all volumes on cmx website, I'll check them out before deciding to continue or not.
Bottom line, not sure yet!
