Twelve Kingdoms: episodes 15-45badtzphotoMay 11 2009, 02:25:26 UTC
Some points: - Youko has now decided to be queen. I think I'm too hard on her and her insecurities really bug me and I missed the confident and deciding for herself Youko. How can she be that naive and not trusting Keiki? It's a good thing it didn't last long and she decided that she must learn more about her country to be a good queen. The old Youko is back. - Both Suzu and Shoukei are annoying in their own way. Especially Shoukei, how can she think that Queen of Kei and Shushou (queen of Kyou) got what was rightful hers? What an absurd idea. - I'm glad all the three girls grew up. - Asano is also annoying in his own way. I still think that he shouldn't be in the story at all. He's grown at the end, too. - Despite all these annoying characters, I still enjoy the anime and the story. - I quite like Shushou (queen of Kyou) even though she appeared to be cold and somewhat mean (slapped her Taiho) - she was fair and didn't punish anyone for what happened. - I was wrong, the story of En was told from 40-45. I disagree that Atsuyu could have been as good a king as Shoryu. In fact, he just pretended to be so as long as no one opposed him. Should there be a disagreement, that person would be eliminated by his minions. He preferred someone else did his dirty jobs for him so he could stay *the good guy*. - I don't like the prelude - there are 3 or 4 in total but they don't add anything to the story to me. - I suspect they had planned to tell the story of Tai later, but there was no other seasons. Hence we are left hanging with Taiki's and King of Tai's fates unknown (or unresolved).
Bottom line, despite all the faults, I still like it a lot.
