7. 20 episodes (or 3 dvd's) of Fushigi Yūgi. Quote: "Tamahome".
Nuriko:You pig! You even finished off my plate!
from Wiki from IMBd from Rotten Tomatoes from Anime News Network Miaka sure called/yelled/screamed Tamahome a lot, even though he sometimes wasn't with her. It grows on me. I like Aya in Ceres better. I remember reading a review on Ceres, and the reviewer wrote that by this time Miaka would call Tamahome 100 times, he wasn't exaggerating. Anyway, 5 more dvd's to go.
It's interesting that Hotohori is so narcissist, I didn't remember he was this way in the book - comic relief, I guess. There are other funny moments, too. Miaka is such a glutton it's so funny - but the joke is getting a bit old, I guess.

All the mangas listed this week are borrowed from a local public library, isn't this great?
Except for Clover 2 and 4.
20. 1 volume Short Program (ショートプログラム, Shōto Puroguramu).
wiki I like some short stories in here - I'm a sucker for short stories with a twist - and there are plenty in here. I borrowed this because of by
shaenon in her Overlooked manga festival posts:
here.
21. 2 volumes of Just a Girl.
no wiki
Anime News Network It's ok. I can't help to think it's kind of similar to another similar manga. Hm.
22. Miyuki-chan in Wonderland (不思議の国の美幸ちゃん, Fushigi no Kuni no Miyuki-chan).
wiki Hm, I borrowed this book out of curiosity. It's ok. I enjoyed the last story - crossing with X and the omake where Clamp kind of poked fun of themselves, I think.
23. 4 volumes of Clover.
wiki I found the hard to find vol 1 - yay.
This series ends without closure. I have more questions than answers. I do think that sometimes open ending books stay with me long since I have to think about it more. I like it, though.

23b. Howards End by E.M. Forster. First sentence: "One may as well begin with Helen's letters to her sister."
Gah, I admire Helen. I have no patience for Mr Wilcox and his offprings.
This number is not correct, but it's a pain to edit all entries from here to the end of 2008 - so I let it be.
