Anime and Jdrama: watching on CrunchyRoll
- My Love Story - Epi 9
- Yamato's bday
- Suna's worries
- Suna's and Takeo's friendship. - Dr. Coto's Clinic - Epi 1-11
- CrunchyRoll
- There is a manga about the same Dr which was licensed in French a few years ago. I got the first volume but it has been on my toberead ever since. I was so glad to see the Jdrama available on Crunchyroll so I watched the first episode and finished the whole 11 episodes in a couple of days!
- There's always a dire case in each episode, so it's very dramatic, but I highly recommend it. I will rewatch it. After watching this drama, I dug out volume 1 and read it, see below.
Manga: continuing to try to make a dent to French toberead - 1st volume edition.
- Love so life 5 by Kaede Kouchi - in French
- White day.
- New school year for Shiharu, Shiharu's classmates and friends. - 2nd love - Once upon a lie 4-5 - the end by Akimi Hata - in French
- 3rd wheel continue for both
- Sumi's father entered the picture.
- I don't really like Satsuki, he's a bit manipulative. Does he have to whisper to Kana's ear to say that he's not interested in her?
- It does end well. - Bienvenue au club 1 by Nikki ASADA - in French
- A club research why loves have failed them so far. A group of misfit: 2 girls and 2 boys, an anime otaku, a cross-dresser. It's hard to describe the 2 girls in 1 or 2 words, though.
- So far the first volume is fine, I'm kind of curious about the characters and want to know who's ending up with whom. Maybe I'll get volume 2. - Dr Kotô 1 by Takatoshi YAMADA - in French
- Like I said above, it's been on the toberead pile since I bought it in 2010. The prospect of 25 volumes is a bit daunting.
- It's kind to strange to see Dr Coto on Crunchyroll because I already know the French title, also, I thought that this "コ" had romanji "ko".
- Watching the drama gives me more incentive to read it now that I know the characters.
- Obviously 25 volumes crammed into 11 episodes there will be a lot of differences - and the characters were moved around or condensed into a smaller group.
- Episodes 1-3 in this volume, with 1 extra regarding nurse Ayaka. Her parents are dead when the story started, and she seems to have feelings for Dr Koto. Mr. Wada isn't helping out in the clinic yet.
- Mariko hasn't showed up in volume 1.
- I hope the drama is popular and crunchyroll may license the manga? - Shojo Relook 1-2 by Kaoru Ichinose - in French
- I really like the art - The title in Japanese is 未少年プロデュース - Mishounen Produce I had bought the whole series in Japanese.
- Something about Kosei's behaviors is bugging me, he loves Kako. I suppose he's insecure and afraid she may love someone else! He's advancing and then backing down because he just wants to be by her side and doesn't want to scare her off.
- There are always trouble makers, 3rd, 4th wheel :)
- The funny thing is Kako is a big fan of a manga which has 98 volumes - and a parody of similar to The Rose of Versailles. In every life situation, she always finds the same in the manga and tries to get out of trouble in the same way as in the manga :) - First of all, 98 volumes - It can't be by only 1 mangaka, right, unless the manga takobon is release 2 volumes per year at least. What a work schedule! - Du haut de mon monde (Asa Made Matenai - 朝まで待てない) - standalone by Masako Yoshi
- This was published in 1985 in Japan, serialized in Margaret.
- I was curious and it's only 1 volume, so not that big of an investment :)
- The art reminds me a little bit of Kyoko's Hikawa's Onnanoko wa Yoyuu!. The main character is a highschooler, she seems to always in trouble with all the teachers, plays flutes out of scale, can't sing, sleeps in class, not getting along with classmates, short temper. But she has a crush on a boy in the same school different class. He's a childhood friend of her classmate (a girl who's always on her case!) and they are in the same club. They may be a couple? Anyway, one day, her home bathtub had some trouble and she couldn't take a bath but she wanted one, so she went to public bath house. Guess whose family runs it? You got it, the boy's :P one thing led to another, all hell breaks loose in a funny way. Anyway, I like the story very much. I'll looking into another series by the same author (Comment ne pas t'aimer - Aisazu ni wa Irarenai - 愛さずにはいられない) - Atagoul, la foret des chats 1 by Hiroshi Masumura - in French
- The art is very interesting and detailed. Unfortunately, I don't like this kind of art!
- I don't have the patience for the story, it's meandering around. I'd prefer to read it in English. So I may drop the series. - Cradle of the Sea (Le berceau des mers - Umi no Cradle - 海のクレイドル) 1 by Mei Nagano - in French
- The art is very interesting and detailed, kind of like Kaoru Mori's art
- The story is a bit choppy.
- The story is set in England - during the industrial revolution. Monica, the main character, is a poor girl who used to work for a rich family but recently dismissed because the masterdied and the new masterdidn't think she was needed. She had been taking care of the owner's infant son before he died. It's an adventure where she went to look for her master with his son.
