    1. Chapter Book:
    2. The Mighty Miss Malone by Christopher Paul Curtis.
      - Borrowed from BPL.
      - read by Bahni Turpin.
      - Story about a smart black girl growing up in Gary, Indiana during the Great Depression and her family.
      - Very good read.
    1. Manga:
    2. Gisele Alain 3 by Sui KASAI - in French.
      - Continue Gisele's activity, working at a good crepe shop where the location is too out of the way so even though the crepes are good, not a lot of customers. Gisele will try to improve the shop's prospect.
      - Eric followed his dream hence he's moving out. Both declared they love each other but each had their own meaning. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be the case right now. He's a ghost writer for a famous and established author who's a drunkard.
      - I didn't expect the violonist is in love with Eric.
      - How Gisele and Eric met.
      - Gisele and her family especially, with her sister and with her father after her mother's death.
      - The captain is back.
      - Overall an enjoyable and fast read volume. The drawing is just awesome .
    3. Missions of Love 1-5 by Ema Toyama. 1 is reread since I read it last year (?) when I got it.
      - 2-5 borrowed from ILL.
      - The series is really fun reading back to back 5 volumes in a row.
      - The characters seem to know what they are doing, but they don't :)
      - I feel bad for Akira.
      - It's not really a love triangle or rectangle, because Yukina and Shigure seem to be interested in one another. Akira is a close confidant. And Mami is just a stick to their wheels.
    4. Arisa 10-12 - The End by Natsumi Ando. 10 is reread.
      - 11 borrowed from BPL.
      - So the end.
      - Very intense last 2 volumes.
      - Why King acted that way was explained and he does serve time for his actions. Luckily, it was revealed that the criminal wasn't killed by anyone.
      - I have wondered who was Tsubasa's love interest. It turns out that no one as the author explained in the last page.
      - Good series, I've borrowed all the volumes that I don't have, maybe I'll reread before they are due.
    5. Orange Chocolat 2-7 by Nanpei Yamada - in French.
      - Very fun read.
      - Beautiful arts.
      - Funny situation of body swapped.
      - The meddling foxes' desire to get cell phones, playing with computer games, lottery for Hawaii.
      - Retsu's mother is so funny when she's in despair that Chiro won't be her daughter-in-law because of her useless son :)
    6. Le Chemin des fleurs 7-8 by Ako Shimaki - in French.
      - Kyônosuke and Ichiya have formed a rivalry friendship maybe reluctantly (frennemy ?)
      - Unfortunately for Ayame, they both choose Kabuki over her in a way!
      - Ichiya chose to marry into a Kabuki family. Kyônosuke skipped his birthday celebration to see Ichiya's performance.
      - Now they are starred in another piece, both have 2 roles.
    7. 2nd Love - Once upon a lie 1-2 by Akimi HATA - in French.
      - Another office lady's romance.
      - Sumi had a crush on Natsuki for 10 years and never had a courage to confess to him.
      - Satsuki is Natsuki's younger brother, who's a college student, 6 years younger than Sumi, working as a waiter in a cafeteria at her office. This cafeteria only has handsome wait-staffs for the ladies in the office.
      - It seems to me that Satsuki is a bit manipulative. I don't think Sumi actually was in love with Natsuki because it didn't her long to get over him after learning that he's getting married. maybe one can say that Satsuki's helping her getting over Natsuki, but somehow, I don't buy it.
      - Satsuki is a bit insecure himself.
      - The series is 5 volumes and the art is good, but I'm not sure that if it's worth 5 volumes of stories back and forth between Sumi and Satsuki.
    8. Crimson Empire: Circumstances to Serve a Noble 1-2 by QuinRose and Hazuki Fubata.
      - 2 from ILL. I own 1.
      - It took me a long time to get pass chapter 1. Once that was done, the 2 books were a fast read. I wish that I had book 3 at hand. Oh well.
      - It seems that the story toward Prince Justin X Sheila.

Tankobon I got from Kino yesterday:
  • Koi Dano Ai Dano 7 by Ririko Tsujita

  • それでも世界は美しい (Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii) 6 by Shiina Dai
  • Housekeeper Man (ハウスキーパーマン), by Koyomi MINAMORI, it seems that he really enjoys cleaning (like a character in Oresama Teacher), he's frowning because he's a naturally cranky character :)
