2006 was a rollercoaster ride for me

Today marks a new year. I can't be anymore happier.

2006 brought sadness, joy, pride, hurt, and loneliness just to name a few emotions.

It all started in March when my grandma became ill.

In April, my grandma passed away. Her death marked many months of sadness and loneliness. I had a hard time dealing with the fact that she was gone.
During this time, I struggled to concentrate on finishing my last semester of college.

In May, I graduated from nursing school. The culmination of years of schooling...
To celebrate, my parents and I went on a cruise to Mexico.

Starting in June, I studied like I've never studied before to pass the nursing boards--the NCLEX.

In July, I passed.
During this month, I started my career as a Registered Nurse.

In August, my boyfriend broke up with me.
I never felt so alone in my life.

September marked my 23rd birthday. A mellow birthday dinner with my best friend, Anisha, made it fun.

In October, I brought home a Yorkie puppy that I named Teddy. He has brought joy to the house again.

Around this time, my bf wanted to get back with me. I haven't answered him yet...

I feel like I haven't been myself ever since my grandma passed away. I'm very much hoping that 2007 will be a much better year.

I have some New Year's goals:

#1 Start going to the gym.
#2 Find whatever it is that makes me happy.
#3 Find cool recipes to make yummy food.
#4 Pay off all my loans.
#5 Be smart about my money.
#6 Do things I've never done before.
#7 Write in LJ more
#8 Apply and start graduate school
#9 Be happy.

Tomorrow I'm going to Disneyland with my school friends.. yay! This is probably the best way to meet goal #9 since it is the happiest place on earth!

Well that's it. happy new year everyone!
