Well my weekend is over back at work with only 17 minutes to go (yay!) but I guess I'll make a long story short... We left Friday afternoon (waaaaay later than we were supposed to) thanks to a water main break and got on the rode about 4ish (and we were supposed to be in Atl at 6).. Anyways we get on the road, Chris and I are fussin cause I hate being rushed and everything.. We get almost to Chattanooga and my cell phone is being stupid so I decided to stop at Verizon and get a new phone (haha) I was going to anyways so I figured why not... So I have my nice new celley (that I LOOOOVE, LG enV with keyboard and such) and we get back on our way to Macon where we are staying for the night... I wanted to try out the camera on my new phone cause I've heard it's awesome (2 Megapixels pretty good for a phone)
Chris doesn't play nice when I want to take pics :) anyways we go through Atlanta and 10ish and the city is gorgeous at night.. i took a pic but it's kinda blurry cause we were goin like 70 lol
so pretty! :)
Anyways we get to Jameys in Macon and meet with him at Wally World and go to Taco Bell get food and go back to his apartment, and finally go to bed at about 3am after they play D1 on PS2 for hours lol We get up the next morning to head on down to Cordele where the track is, hit a monsoon and get to this car show that Jamey is at, to find out we have to call someone to come and get the trailer we need for the event.. We wait like an hour for our friend Jerry (from Memphis) to get there with a truck to take the trailer to the track, we do all that jazz head to the hotel check in, go swimming, get ready and go to the track, well it's raining again :( and we get to the track to find that not long are the Late Model Races canceled, which also means our demo is canceled, so we wait around for all the people to clear out from that to set up the track for the next day only for it to look like this before we can do so...
The guys had fun playing in the rain, but when all was said and done there was about 2 feet of water in the infield so not track set up.. The event the next day went fairly smoothly all in all a great event, some drama but it was all good.. Funny stuff my friend Darren's car died, and my Civic brought it back to live...
See Hondas are good for something ;) I sent a text to a few people with the caption, "my civic brings heavily modified supras to life" :D
Sad sight a Drift Track with no cars...
Got a late start back on monday and hit Atl rush hour traffic..
I learned that not only do I not have patience for traffic, but I also have horrible road rage LOL :) and I wasn't even driving!!! :)
