What prompted this subject of trust?

Is it to anyone specific?

Is it a reminder-to-self or a personal request? ;)

BTW... Eponine is prolly the character I can relate to most. As much as I love Les Mis (as does my older bro Andy, who bought a video of the stars singing songs from the show), can you believe that I've never seen it live? I missed my chance when it came here as they were here during my g-ma's funeral.

It is an existential statement. I'm beginning to see an oppositional relationship between trust and fear. One falters when the other thrives.

Never seen Les Mis??!! That is certainly something that you must remedy. I relate very much to Jean ValJean. I've though of getting a tattoo of 24601.

Can you tell me why they constantly cast that role with women with obnoxious voices? Why is that the aesthetic? Why!? Why!?

This has bothered me for a while.

So that people will find it more palatable that Marius picks Cosette over her.

That makes sense. But they give her some lovely songs so that we will still cry when she dies.

Your familiarity with the plot amazes me. Full of surprises... Hugo or Boublil/Schonberg?

A little of both. I've seen the musical a few times and have the soundtrack .. it is probably my favorite musical. I've read some of Hugo, but not in French, and not unabridged .. I don't think I could handle almost 500 pages about how great the bishop is.
