On Good News
This week has brought its fair share and then some of bad news. But last night was absolutely wonderful. Spent much of the evening drinking, joking, eating, and enjoying the summery weather on ND's roof with my friends. I could have fallen asleep up there.
Today I was happy, thrilled even, to receive a copy of my appointment certificate. It's so very regal. I can't wait to get it framed. Even though I know auto-pen technology has gotten pretty good, It still looks like the President and the Secretary signed it!
I'm excited to plan my trip to India. I think it will be fun, informative, and oppressively hot. But after that I plan to come home to cool California. That trip will probably not be as much fun, but it's vastly more important. I'm looking forward to Dodger games, going to the beach, playing catch, go-karting, and going to see avant-garde movies downtown. I'll also get a first-hand look at the medical-industrial complex.
Tomorrow I need to finish my final two papers on Iran and the Strategic Dialogue.
