Hmm...so not too much of interest has happened this week. I had some interesting shifts at work - I was told to "go to hell", then today I had two soft refusal conversions (a soft refusal is people who say they are "not interested" and we have to call them back again two weeks later). I also did a good job in my presentation on International Migration and the economy - people clapped. Oh yeah...the job counselor appointment went really well, and I have some ideas for where I could be employed. She also pretty much told me that I should look elsewhere than Pittsburgh. Right now I'm kind of 50/50 for staying in Pittsburgh and moving back to the D.C. area (which has a lot more jobs), so we'll see... I applied for an internship at NSP though - didn't get an e-mail back, so I guess I'll have to call next week. The next couple months are going to be craaazy , but I'll just have to keep my hopes up and not get discouraged.
So here are some articles for your pleasure. Most of them are swiped from lj communities, so if you like them you should watch/join

And because I'm frightened at the implications of Roe v. Wade being overturned in this country, and my sisters/girlfriends being denied the ability to control their own bodies and reproductive decisions:
A Sioux Tribe Leader says she will open a Planned Parenthood on her land if they uphold the South Dakota Abortion Land . It's a good thing that all American Indians weren't destroyed and retain some of their land, or eliminated through
forced sterilization . Then Anti-choice women
might be able to get their abortions in rural areas. Like this hypocrite below (excerpt from the above compilation):
"I've had several cases over the years in which the anti-abortion patient had rationalized in one way or another that her case was the only exception, but the one that really made an impression was the college senior who was the president of her campus Right-to-Life organization, meaning that she had worked very hard in that organization for several years. As I was completing her procedure, I asked what she planned to do about her high office in the RTL organization. Her response was a wide-eyed, 'You're not going to tell them, are you!?' When assured that I was not, she breathed a sigh of relief, explaining how important that position was to her and how she wouldn't want this to interfere with it." (Physician, Texas)
