"Being wrong is not a culture!"
The other night I read this excellent Inglourious Basterds fanfic. It's Landa/Aldo, my favorite pairing, and it's unrepentantly violent and very messy. I highly recommend it.
The first thing it made me think was I want to do that. I'm still not clear on if I'd rather get beaten all to hell, or give someone else a thorough pummeling, or perhaps both, but I do know that I want to participate in some real violence. You know, with proper bruising afterwards and everything. So there's that fetish. Something like Fight Club sex.
The second thing it made me think was Oh my Ghod, this is just like the interrogation scene in The Dark Knight. I mean, it's obviously not exactly the same, but it's, like, the same trope, or something. Hero attempts to have a civilized discussion with baddie, despite how very very bad the baddie is, proving that they are better than said baddie. Baddie proceeds to poke at the hero's buttons as thoroughly as they can, you know, cos it's fun, and maybe if they're really good at it, they'll get the shit beat out of them. And they do! Success!
I, evidently, have a fetish for this. I really want to verbally bully someone into throttling me. And then doing the sex. Or maybe at the same time.
What the hell do I call that?
