Optus retards

More fun and games.

I've had my iPhone for a while now, and no bill has arrived (nothing has arrived since the phone, apart from a bill for my 3G service that used to be on the same bill as my phone). Yesterday, an SMS lands asking me "Have you paid your bill yet?" which is Optus' usual reminder service that you haven't paid your bill. A bill that hasn't landed yet. *slaps forehead*

So I call. I get the automated service, speak to it giving info, which I know doesn't get used.

I get a monkey. I give him the usual info of name, address, DOB, phone-number and what the call is about. "I'll just put you on hold for a sec".

He returns. Same guy. Asks me again for my name, address, DOB, phone-number and what the call is about. I tell him, a little less nicely. "Oh ok, I'll check".

Optus billing has no record of my bill. At all. I ask if I should ignore the SMS then? He gets a bit confused at this point, I'm assuming that option isn't on the screen in front of him. I can hear him thinking (sort of a grinding sound) then he chooses Option 5: Tell customer to call back in 2-weeks.
