Ok, I wanted to post again re: new members.
First, it seems that 90% of the moderator duties are on me. Thus, I do not have the time, nor do I have the inclination, to go through a billion pages of survey answers in order to determine whether or not people are going to be accepted to the community. Thus...if you do not have anything in your user info or visible on your journal that gives me some idea that you are somehow, some way interactive with children on a regular basis...I will likely reject you from the community.
This isn't a personal thing, but we do get a lot of serial adders and lurkers applying, and seeing how this is a 'friends only' community...I try to weed out potential problems and allow as much security for current members as possible.
If you send an email to the gmail account, you may or may not get a response. Some of the other moderators check it periodically, but I almost never do...so please...if you apply to the community and get rejected and you are actually a parent/nanny/pregnant/something-else-that-qualifies-you for membership...comment on a public post of mine and I will let you know what's going on.
Thanks!
