The short of it is, I seem to be well on the road to recovery, and I can basically go live my life now, but I have some work to do.
So I have never been very flexible. When I was doing that growth spurt thing back in first puberty, it seems my bones all grew, and my muscles didn't, really. At least, not in length. I'd been making a lot of progress at that at silks, and I was to the point where I could even touch my toes when I was fully warmed up.
I went to physical therapy today. (I took the T/bus there, and it was fine getting there!) Effectively, the therapist said that my back was going to be okay -- but with all the horrible leg cramping from when I was completely laid up, my left hamstring is horribly, horribly shortened. Like, from sitting in a chair, I can't even extend my leg fully, let alone touch my toe. He gave me some exercises to work on that, and I'll see him again later in the week.
I am very much looking forward to getting back to silks. I will get the ability to pike back, I swear!
