Read a book!

Sixty-fourth book started & finished in 2010: Back In The Day: Memories Of A Way Of Life That Is No More by Larry Larsen (106 pp).

Was it interesting? It's a collection of short columns which originally appeared in the Myrtle Point Herald, describing life in the logging camps. I find it very interesting.

Well-written? It's written like someone who has a good memory for detail, and can put a sentence together, but is foremost someone who works with his hands. It's not given to flights of elegance, but it's not intended to. It's writing that matches the subject matter.

Would I read it again? I would.

Keep or give away? Keep.

Would I read a sequel/further adventures? I continue to read the columns in the Herald, and would probably buy a further collection ... although I'd probably wait until I was visiting Myrtle Point again, and buy it from the Logging Museum.
