Where the Weekend Went
Friday: Fringe! B & I saw "I tried to be normal, but it didn't take." Good but not great, about 0.8 Hefners (Someone tell Hefner that he has become my benchmark for one-man shows.)
Saturday: B and I went to the beach! A late start mean it was a five hour drive. Ick. The long drive shifted everything a few hours back. We finished lunch at four, for example. That led to us not leaving until midnight, which meant we were getting back at three A.M., which meant I spent the last half-hour of the drive hallucinating vividly. If it hadn't been life-threatening, it would have been sort of neat.
Sunday: Started rocky, with B & I translating from English to English at each other. I think we worked it out, though.
Next, more Fringe! Vval and I caught two shows, Burlesque over Broadway (excellent!) and a musical about Steve Jobs and Apple, which was very good until you thought about it. Working on an assembly line is not fun. True. But it beats working on the farm. People want those factory jobs.
Anyhow, we had dinner with some friends of Vval's she accumulated, and then wandered about for a bit until I took her home to keep her company while she cleaned her place, and that was the weekend.
