Sometimes I think the internet is actually crippling us socially. My intolerance level of people is well documented to be sure and haven't you found that its so much easier ro retreat into our collective caves and im...facetime... chat.. facebook... with that core group we all have rather than interact "out there" today even thousands of miles cant keep you from having in depth conversations with those in your inner circle. Your local scene dragging you down... tune in.. and drop out. Playing cards... hunting down your friends with and a AK47 with a grenade launcher and a holographic sight... (as long as you have activated the "bling" perk) is just a button push away. I find that more and more tempting than dealing with... those people out there... a movie?? fuck it I have netflix!!! Big sports game? I cant get better seat than in front of my HD LCD. Struck out yet again with that woman over there? Well heres a better looking one on something called a "sybian machine" (oh.. you also learn about your quirks glitches and fetishes you never KNEW existed) and while it is at its core kinda sad.. its kind of like lifes "participant" ribbon you usually got at school when you didn't win.. but hey heres a purple ribbon for showing up. Just knowing there is a forum that allows your public thoughts a place to be heard.... even if truly you have nothing to say... and people that actually care and have opinions on those nothing thoughts is really a minor miracle.. and comfort on those days when that outside world place has gotten to you.
