I love apartments. Particularly my new one. 'Tis a shame it's further away from bars than my previous residences, but it's nothing a long walk or a brief T ride can't remedy. And though the liquor stores are as equally distant, the Whole Foods is a mere 100 yards away. Teebes' recent acquisition of a new Sony television will go well with the new Harman Kardon receiver and pair of Monitor Audio B4s I have on the way. Just in time for the DVD release of the original holy trilogy.
My sources inform me that Season 2 of Twin Peaks won't be released for at least another 9 months, and even then likely not in the States... At least I can look forward to the December release of one of my favority Lynch films Wild at Heart.
After weighing my options I decided to forego the idea of an Ipod for an IRiver. It's not quite as intuitive as an Ipod but it's easy as hell to use and can be easily be plugged into any computer, Mac or PC, without any necessary software. I was ultimately swayed by Apple's "false" price lowering of the 4th Generation 20 Gig Ipods. At first I thought it was pretty sweet that they had lowered the price of the new Ipods from $400 to $300, but in actuality it's just a silly ploy by Apple to sell more of them. If you buy a 4th generation one and then go purchase all the accessories that came with the 3G but don't with the 4G Ipods, you save a grand total of 3 FUCKING DOLLARS! So you're only saving a couple bucks and getting a lot less shit. I have so far been very pleased with my IRiver and am in the midst of the daunting task of ripping all good b-sides from my collection of singles.
Though it's certainly not definite the Red Sox will make the playoffs, it's pretty damn likely. They've started an online registration to get tickets for potential playoff games at Fenway. I STRONGLY encourage all of you to sign up so that if you do get tickets you can come up to Boston and see a badass playoff game and sell one of your tickets to me :p. And if you don't want to come up you can still get the tickets and sell em to me anyway!
