As the warmth of spring finally begins to reach up to Boston, all is well.
A week ago I registered for a lottery to win the chance to buy 4 coveted Green Monster seats for a Red Sox game. These seats were only installed in Fenway last year, and are situated right on top of the infamous Wall. Only 274 are available for each home game, all of them in ridiculously high demand. Yesterday I got an email back telling me I was one of the lucky few who would be given the chance to buy tickets! I don't know which game I'll be getting tickets for yet, but as long as I'm going to be in town, it doesn't matter much to me. I've had a hard time resisting the urge to scalp the tickets once I buy them but I'll most likely never be able to do this again. The $70-110 it will cost me per ticket may seem like a lot of money, but these things were being resold for $300-700 last season. There's no doubt the demand will be even greater this year. Now if I only knew three other people worthy of a seat... :p
