I'll probably turn this thing into a law school blog in August, but for now I'll continue my depressing life + my law school journey. Haw haw g'faw.
1) UC Hastings: Accepted via LEOP program. No scholarship (public school).
2) Seattle University: Accepted w/ $12,500 Presidential Law Scholarship. Less than 30 awarded, criteria: Top 5% of applicant pool.
3) University of San Francisco: Accepted w/ $16,500 non-renewable scholarship.
4) Santa Clara University: Accepted w/ $20,000 renewable Law Faculty Scholarship.
5) UC Berkeley (Boalt Hall): Pending. Received email 1/31/06 from Dean of Admissions informing me that my application has passed initial review (AKA I'm competitive but not good enough to get in on a whim). My application is being forwarded to the Faculty Admissions Committee. ~1400 applications with only ~200 spots. Fingers are crossed.
6) Brooklyn Law School: Pending, no word.
7) UCLA: Pending, no word.
8) Duke: Pending, no word.
My FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) only allows me to forward the application to 6 schools. Berkeley will take up one (just in case I get accepted), Hastings another, but the other 4 I'm confused about. Any word from any of the pending schools will greatly help me in my decision.
Fantasy top choices: 1) Berkeley; 2) Duke/UCLA; 3) Duke/UCLA
Realistic top choices: Tied with Brooklyn Law School & UC Hastings
The journey continues...
