First Update In A While
Haha, I read my last journal post. I was sooo pissed over something sooo stupid. The usual Johnny C move...
I think it's my new housemates that have actually reinspired me to take the plunge and restart this journal, with some credit from my friend Chuck who decided to document his 1st year law school experience.
Regardless of all that, I'm at quite the crossroads in my life. Recently single, awaiting decisions on 9 law school applications, and days away from attaining my prized 1971 Vespa Rally 180. I look at those simple facts and I feel like the world should be my oyster. Alas, not the case. My birthday will be spent drowning in a Martini, and I wish my favorite time of the year would be over with as soon as possible. It's the frustration of having everything available to me, yet at the same time being ready for nothing.
It's time to take the hammer of Thor and shatter the invisible sphere surrounding the safety zone. Seattle and Brooklyn, your temptuous calls only heighten with each passing day...
Okay, I'm done with the profound for now.
1) Permanent cocktail: The Churchill (A gin Martini so dry that the bottle of Vermouth is waved over only the glass). Quite the lunch-time-at-work-adventure!
2) Cocktail of the moment: Mitchell's home made egg nog with E&J Brandy. It's okay if it's shitty brandy, it all blends into the egg nog taste in the end anyway.
3) Current book: Mythology by Edith Hamilton (I think, I'm too lazy to get out my book). I stole the book as a junior in high school and never had the full fledged critical thinking skills to read it (AKA too dry). Never touched the book during college, but kept it. Returned to it, and now it's so interesting.
4) Current fascination: Vintage Vespa scooters. I'm too newbie-ish to like Lambrettas as of yet...
5) Favorite hobby: Free happy hours/getting drunk in very nice clothes.
6) Favorite music: Believe it or not after leaving my video iPod + Bose headphones in a cab last week, this Yo La Tengo album on my current music (album: Ride the Tiger) is the only music I've really listened to in a moment. After Christmas shopping I'm going to just put some jet fuel in the tank of my credit card debt and set myself back up again. Wish me luck!

8) Current favorite show: Tom Goes To The Mayor (I am SO buying that show... or illegally downloading it. :X)
9) Favorite restaurant: The House of Prime Rib
10) Favorite clothing on women: Complicated corsets, lace, stockings. The whole getup!
