Rasengan [Fic]
My first post here as I decided to stop lurking in the shadows! ^^

Don't want to let it lay me down this time
Drown my will to fly
Here in the darkness I know myself
Can't break free until I let it go
Let me go

He scratched his itching palm, “Just a little more.” He straightened and created another pair of clones. His clones glanced around before looking at him curiously. “Only the two of us?” “Why not? Having a lot wouldn’t do any good either,” he shrugged as he extended his previously itching palm “might as well reserve my chakra.” He inhaled before focusing a calculated amount of chakra in his palm while one clone molded it properly. He exhaled.
Another perfect but unfinished rasengan.
He nodded to his clones. “Do it,” they understood perfectly as one disappeared and the other simply stepped forward. “We’ll do this both,” he looked at the clone pointedly “at the same time.” “Are you sure it will work this time?” His clone stared at him before shaking his head and gathering wind-natured chakra1. He glared. “It has to!” Gathering the same kind of chakra in his free hand, he muttered instructions “One… Two… Three! Go!”
They both forced the wind-filled chakra to the rasengan.
It resisted, “Just like before.” He forced it down to the ground as he lost his control. “It can’t be helped, I guess.” His clone regarded the uncontrollable swirling chakra before finally vanishing. “Shit!” He cursed as his ninth, or was it tenth, rasengan exploded. Dropping to his knees, he clutched his hand that received most of the damage. He collapsed to the ground with his vision dimming from exhaustion. “I’m tired,” he panted still trying to catch his breath.
But he can’t give up. No, not when he was so close to the end.
