Kinda creepy, but I suppose if they've decided to leave Ianto alone, they can't be all that bad. Maybe one day they'll get properly curious and say hello. You never know, they might enjoy helping him sort out the archives.

Eventually they might introduce themselves, but for now I think they'll help out from behind the scenes. They must have leaned the basics of te human language by now. ;)

Kindly Ianto knows when to leave beings alone. They may learn to trust him and make themselves known. They are protective of their group, but not agressive.
