Awwww, Owen, we can't hate him when he truly shows how deep he cares about his friends; unfortunately, we only see his sweet side under a rude attitude and angry mask.

Yep, that's Owen, but the people who know him understand that. If he fussed over them too much it would make them uncomfortable.

I don't know why people hate Owen. You just kind of have to look past the gruff and sarcastic, and there is a very damaged but kind man. I liked this. Thanks for sharing.

For all his acerbic ways, Owen is good at his job. He really likes Ianto, but can't help sniping at Jack

He likes Jack too, but Jack is the boss, and Owen likes to push his buttons as much as he enjoys pushing Ianto's. They're all friends, but when someone is hurt, Owen knows the best way to show everything is fine is to turn on the snark.

I´ve always loved Dr. Owen Harper. He´s a wonderful character (and like Ianto and Tosh, he´s very alive for me) and Burn Gorman a very fine actor. The show is very lucky for having an actor like him in this fantastic character.

I agree! I keep Owen and Tosh alive in most of my fics to. There are a few e=whee they're dead so I can explore emotions, but my preference is for all of them to be alive.
