Bingo Card Time Again!

Dec 01, 2016 22:29

So, because I'm insane, I signed up for genprompt_bingo again. Not sure about this card - there were loads of great prompts in the categories I picked for my opt-in card, and I only got a couple of them. Some of the ones I've got I'm rather Meh about, and one I had on my last card, probably should have asked for that to be excluded, but... Well, ( Read more... )

o.o, bingo card

*giggles* I love the o.o tag on this entry!

Anyway, this looks like a really good one for Torchwood, and I can see a few that would be good for FAKE. :D Some of them even look like they could go for either fandom. I'm probably nuts, but I think it would be cool if you could somehow do a crossover. That would probably be extremely hard, though.

Guessing you've never read totally4ryo's magnificent crossover series 'Slipping Through'...

I do want to do a crossover of my own at some point, but not sure if it'll happen anytime soon.

Some of these prompts I immediately earmarked for certain fandoms - the artefact one is Torchwood, Partnership is FAKE, Frankencritters will be Torchwood though I could use some help with figuring out the critter. Not sure what to do with Hardware and Software, Scapegoat, Heirs, and the Butcher/Bake/Tradesman one (picking a trade and assigning a fandom might be tough). Why did I get both Water and Water Sprites?

O.O

Aside from the RPG, the only FAKE fic I've read is yours. :) Same goes for Torchwood, now that I think about it.

I'm sure it'll happen. All you need is the right idea that speaks to both fandoms. You're being more open-minded about it than me, though, so that's good (helps that you've written other crossovers before); I was determined to never write a crossover of any kind...until I wrote one, lol. *blushes*

Hardware and Software sounds like it'd be a good one for Tosh, since both terms can apply to computers and technology. Scapegoat...maybe Jack got into Ianto's food stash again, and is trying to blame Nosy? The Tradesman prompt...huh. Maybe aliens using Earth as a slaughterhouse, because human flesh is a delicacy on some other world?

Heirs...I'm glad I didn't get that one; that really sounds hard. How UNIT got Jack's vortex manipulator? Kate did say they acquired it after one of his deaths--presumably something that happened to him after Miracle Day, since he's still got it then ( ... )

I went with an Opt-In card, so all mine are from 9 categories.

Thanks for the link, that should help =)

Cardiff is by the sea, so I might do something with that. The Heirs one, I could do something with either Ryo or Bikky, left something by parents.

I like making Nosy a scapegoat, lol!

I think I'm going to look at other trades, see what else I could go for. I don't want to do another gory one if I can help it. Hardware/Software would be great for Tosh, I just don't have much computer knowledge so it could be tricky.

I don't like writing crossovers, except when I do, lol!

I hate to think what impossible things I'd wind up with if I got an opt-in. O.o

You're welcome; I sure hope it sparks something. :D

*giggles* Nosy does seem like he'd be perfect for that sort of thing. Sounds like he gets into so much mischief on his own that blaming him for something would just seem the obvious out for anyone with a thing or two to hide, lol!

Any ideas for the Wild Card?

Oh my, there were so many prompts in the categories I chose that I WANTED (but of course didn't get). I think there was a spaceship/pilot thing that I thought would be great for Ianto and his TARDIS from my Through Time and Space series, or the Dragons one so I could continue the fic I wrote where Myf hatched a Dragon's egg, and there were at least another half dozen... I think I'm spoiled for choice there!

I like the opt-in idea - you can still exclude prompts and it narrows the number of categories the prompts you get can come from. I was hoping to give myself a better selection of prompts, but I probably should have excluded more...

Nosy's an ideal scapegoat because no one can stay mad at it for long anyway *pets the Fluff*
