*hugggggggggggg* ♥ I'm so glad the testing went well! And that's really nice that they let you keep the crystals with you; any kind of comfort you can find in a stressful situation, it's only right that they'd let you keep it at hand. (Unless it's something really massive, lol.)

And chips! Talk about well-earned! Too bad the traffic sucked, and that you had to wait so long. But, all things considered, it sounds like today was reasonably alright. :)

It went WAY better than I was expecting, and the test itself was fine, it was the prep that was the hard part. Still, all over now and I can relax. The chips were very good, but I burnt my mouth. I always do!

Having my crystals there helped, and so did the nurse who stayed close and keep asking how I was doing.

Unless it's something massive... *giggles* Reminds me of a cartoon I saw where a couple were talking about their baby's choice of comfort objects, and the husband's like "If it makes him happy, let him keep it" And the mom's all "But why did it have to be a wok?" and there's baby cuddling the Wok...

I'm so glad. *huggggggg* :) And that nurse sounds like she must've been really nice; that always makes a stressful situation much better.

Ouch! At least you enjoyed them, though. I think I'd rather burn my mouth on a plate of them than freeze my tongue for a full twenty-four hours on Dippin' Dots. ^.^

A wok! Oh, that's hilarious! Cartoon baby must love Chinese food, lol!

Must do. I cut the cartoon out and I've still got it somewhere, it was in a newspaper, but it tickled my funny bone so much I had to keep it, lol!

Yes, the nurse was a sweetie, but the Doctor was so nice and encouraging too. The treatment centre seems to have better staff than the main hospital, so I prefer it there.

My mouth is a bit sore but it'll heal fast.

I used to do that, too, when we still got the paper; I have a blank journal with all sorts of cute strips that I kept and pasted in. I get some now through email, and I'll still save the best to my hard drive.

That's good. It seems like places like that seem to have more of a personal touch. When I had all that stuff done heading for my bloodwork, everyone was supernice. (The woman who actually took my blood was obnoxious, but she wasn't trained to do it, and I think she was more used to children than to adults who don't have the patience for mega-bubbly.

I'd rather have blood taken by the practice nurse than the official phlebotomist who only draws blood. She's awful, last time she screwed up so badly she stuck the needle right through my vein and blamed my 'narrow veins', left massive bruising on that arm, took blood from the other arm and left huge bruises there to. Earlier in the year, a student doctor drew blood, and I didn't even feel the needle going in. There was no bruising and everyone says I have good veins. i only ever bruise when this woman draws blood, she's so bad at it.
=[

I have loads of funny snippets cut out but I keep them in a Happiness Box, just a cardboard box full of things to make me smile.
