It's good to have a place that acts as your sanctuary. We all need that sort of safe harbor when things get bad. Very nice.

For me it's my room, but then that's where I spend most of my time. Used to be the greenhouse back when I grew a lot of stuff.

Thank you.

Wow, I'd adore a green house. We have one window that gets decent sun. Because of the trees out front, the kitchen window, while having an Eastern exposure, only gets about an hour in the morning. Sigh...

I have two down the bottom of the garden, but because of trees and shrubs in surrounding gardens, they don't get much sun anymore =(

Not that I'm using them these days. Greenhouses are good, but they take an awful lot of cleaning and I had trouble keeping mine warm in winter. Used paraffin heaters, but if they went wrong, the entire inside would be covered in greasy black soot by morning. NOT funny o_O

Poor Ianto, I know how he feels being overworked and underappreciated. I'm glad that he has a nice private space where he can be alone with his thoughts and take a break from the chaos. Everybody needs a place like that.

That's very true.

I often felt like that when I worked, and then when I was mum's carer, trying so hard but seldom feeling my efforts were appreciated. I empathise with Ianto. Having an escape from all that is vital.

Thank you!

As a child I loved to sit/play in small wood, still do love tress. Have several in garden so I empathise. Horrible selfish Owen and Gwen. Just wait till Jack gets home

Not that Ianto will say anything about their behaviour to Jack, he fights his own battles and anyway, he can see Jack has a lot on his mind. Jack will still know a lot of it though, perhaps from CCTV and perhaps just from his knowledge of the team and the way they behave.

I've always loved trees. I wouldn't mind coming back as a tree =)

Thank you!

Your story reminds me of this beautiful novel.
they even made a movie that unfortunately has not been translated into French.

No, sadly I don't know that book.

Ianto will be fine, it won't be long until Jack returns, and until then he has his tree to console him.

Thank you.
