I really like this especially the last line. It shows very clearly how love and not biology is what makes a family.

Ryo had a biological family and Dee didn't, but they were both loved by their parents and had happy childhoods. Even though Jess and Ryo's parents are gone, their influence will last for the rest of Dee and Ryo's lives. It's made them the people they are.
