Interesting point of view and a very plausible explanation for Jack's habit.

I've never thought of it this way, but now it gives me a bit of a different perspective. :)

Reminds us where Jack came from. Also I think by now he realises that overindulgence is risky, and won't take chances with his team

I'm not sure Jack's 'condition' would even let him get drunk for long. He'd probably have to drink a lot of alcohol very fast for it to have much effect.

Personally, I thought it was after years of heavy drinking when he discovered he could not die, was stuck on Earth and unfortunately "prisoner" TW ... He became hyper sober when he s' was resumed.
