And I'm sure he's come to that realization after his conversation with his TARDIS. That one was one of my favorites, where she said she stole him, borrowing implies intent to return and she wasn't going to return him! That she didn't always take him where he wanted, but always got him to where he needed to be. It just said it all....
But yes, this is from the Doctor's POV, so he wouldn't necessarily voice it or even think it. Still I always like to acknowledge that, as much as the Doctor likes to think he's in control, he isn't.
That was a great episode! Of course, this could be any version of the Doctor, probably prior to Eleven, so he may not yet have come to the realisation that the TARDIS is the one who's really in control. I love that she takes him where he NEEDS to be rather than where he thinks he wants to go. Heehee!
I confess that I'm relatively happy with my very ordinary/linear life. I think I'll let nonlinear life to heroes like the Doctor. They are certainly better designed to live this kind of life and adventures than me.
Nevertheless, I'm okay for a little trip if he ever shows up at my doorstep.;D

Not everyone is able to deal with TARDIS travel. And running for ones life.
Doesn't the Doctor change things when he pops in than out?

The TARDIS, who is a living being, sometimes brings him to places that need fixing.
To put the universe on the right track.
I also loved that episode.
She stole him.

The Doctor's lifestyle isn't for everyone though. I'll stick with a linear life, though I wish I could skip the bad bits.
