I can relate. Nothing tasted right after my surgery, until they gave me a cup of custard - YUM! Don't know about the fish fingers though *shudders*

I think they would have been rather disappointed with the result.

(When mum was a kid in London during the Blitz, her dad asked her what she wanted to eat and jokingly she told him 'kippers and custard' She got it, and then had to eat it. Her dad was apparently very strict.)
