Thank you! Sometimes I'm amazed when I re-read the pieces I've written during Contest Week, because they don't seen like they were churned out in an hour or so. Some I'm less happy with, but this worked pretty well and I'm still pleased with it.

It must also give him a lot of satisfaction that HE was the one who took that mess and wrestled it into some kind of order. These are Ianto's archives now!

I'm sure it does, he worked hard at it and now they can find things. It was a huge job, but he never gave up. He has extraordinary dedication and determination when he starts on a course of action. He sees it through to the end, no matter what.

Ooh, what a lovely look into what goes on in Ianto's head! It felt very true to his character. I love the idea that the archives are both a source of fascination and a place to escape for him.

And I totally get his fascination. If I got to visit the archives, I'd never leave. Especially if I also got to organize and catalogue that stuff. :)

Me too, I'd love to explore all those fascinating things, learning about other worlds and people who defended the earth decades before I was born.

Ianto's a complex character, but one thing we know for sure about him is that he likes to know things. he has the soul of a researcher and archivist, the archives are more than just a job to him, they're almost like a vocation.
