Owen's adrift, he doesn't fit into the normal routines of life anymore, he's got to find other ways of connecting to the living world he's no longer a part of.

This was incredibley sad, Owen was my fave characters in Torchwood and I really hated what the did to him.

Owen did get put through the mill with the whole zombification. In most of my fics, I prefer to keep him alive and not zombified, but the prompt just fit zombie Owen so well I had to write this, just to explore what his existence would be like after his untimely first death. It really wasn't a happy half-life.
