LOL! What a strange pair. An animated fine suit without a person inside it, and an orange boiler suit-wearing alien. Only in Torchwood! :-p

I'm happy to hear that Janet is enjoying her stay. It seems like she's treating it more like a vacation than a prison. That's looking on the bright side!

It's probably the first time she's not had to work for a living or scavenge to survive (I think Weevils are cheap slave labour wherever they come from, hence the boiler suits, which seem to be greyish or brownish rather than orange, judging from my action figure Weevils). For Janet, it's the easy life, and she's learning about people. Perhaps she can influence the rest of the Weevil population telepathically, teach them not to attack humans, so the two species can live in peace.

Janet finds George's company very relaxing, he has no thoughts or emotions for her to pick up.

Thank you!

That's an interesting theory about them being used as slave labor on their planet! That would make the boiler suit a uniform, and would explain why they're all dressed alike. It makes sense. It always seemed odd to me that they were even clothed at all, given that they seem to be about on par with a great ape, who, of course, have no need for clothing. Of course, we don't know what goes on in their minds or how self-aware they really are. That's why Torchwood needs to study them more, I guess!

And you are correct--their boiler suits are more of a drab brown or grey color. I was misremembering them as the prison jumpsuits we have in this country, which are a bright orange!

Easy mistake to make. Maybe the Weevils are prisoners on their world, we just don't know. Having them be slaves makes certain things make sense, such as their clothing. Maybe they're not used to looking after themselves, so finding food is difficult and when they become desperate they attack people. I don't know, I'm just making things up as I go along o_O

These are all great ideas! Have you explored any of them in writing? If not, you should! :)

I probably should, but I'm up to my neck in WiPs and writing challenges. Maybe I could leave myself some prompts on fic_promptly, which ideas should I go for?
