Oh, so heartbreaking! Ianto has just gone through what many of us who have lost a loved one to disease go through. You really sometimes hold on until there is nothing of the person you loved left, but you don't always see it. I feel so bad for him. He really tried his best.

Yes, he tried everything and never stopped believing until every scrap of hope he'd had was ripped away. It's no wonder he looked so devastated!
