I loved these two chapters. Ianto seeing his new home for the first time was just wonderful. I think I liked the swimming pool the best. :)

I do hope it doesn't take them too long to find Jack, although Ianto exploring the universe with his TARDIS would be fun as well.

To be honest, I have no idea how long it will take to find Jack. Partly that'd because I don't know where the prompts at fan_flashworks will lead me, and partly because I have about three different, conflicting ideas on how Ianto could find Jack and I don't know which I'm going to use.

It's such a dinky little swimming pool, but it'll grow someday, lol!

Ianto's home will keep adapting itself to him as the TARDIS continues to develop. She wants him to be happy and have everything he needs.

Wow. The TARDIS is really amazing; even with the medical equipment incident, which was just an accident, she's kind and considerate and everything Ianto needs. I can't imagine having such a traveling companion.

Can't wait to see where the prompts take us (and Ianto)!

Yeah, when she was growing in the Rift, she look images from the surface of Ianto's mind in order to give herself form, but Ianto was sort of dead and it was like his life flashing before his eyes, so what she got were a lot of really random images to work from, and she just fitted things together as best she could, like the Gym is a mix of various Gym's he's been in and what he saw while watching the Olympics, the control room is part Hub, part Coffee Shop, the medical room is a bit like the Hub's autopsy bay, but she assumed the conversion unit was medical equipment he was familiar with. The thing that came through clearest was memories of his flat, so that's pretty much spot-on, but everything else is an amalgam of any images that seemed to fit. Some may even have come from movies he watched.

Great couple of chapters here. I loved the descriptions of Ianto's TARDIS, and the part where he thought of Jack made me choke up. I'm looking forward to the adventures he and the ship embark upon. :)

Thank you! Ianto has some surprises to come in the next couple of chapters, but their adventures are only just beginning. Bits of the TARDIS layout will probably keep changing as she moves things around and remodels bits. Ianto can make a more conscious contribution now that he's awake and aware. Before she was just working from any images that popped to the surface of his mind, which is why everything is a bit random. Not that Ianto intends to change much of what exists (The small storage closet, I don't know if it came across, but that's supposed to be the archives. It just needs growing, lol. Ianto must have archives!).

*grins* They are all each other has at this point, so they are going to be best friends. Ianto's still a little lost, but she's doing her best to make him happy. Now that he's awake, he can tell her how he wants different rooms set out. I can see him coming back with home furnishing catalogues and pointing to pictures, "I'd like a bed like that one, and one of these chairs," and she'll provide it all. He'll probably pick up things from various places, fabrics, bits of furniture as well.

I figured that since the TARDIS shaped herself from images she skimmed from Ianto's surface thoughts, there were bound to be a few mistakes.
