“Ugh!” Donna shuddered as she sampled the cuisine. In her opinion, it tasted like old socks marinated in toothpaste. “How can you eat that stuff?”
“You don’t like it?” The Doctor seemed surprised. “I thought you wanted to try new things.”
“Edible things, not whatever that is.”
“Zootcha is a delicacy savoured by the most refined palates in the galaxy. Only the wealthiest can afford it.”
“I don’t get why anyone would want to.”
The Doctor sampled another piece. “Tastes like old socks marinated in toothpaste. Maybe it’s an acquired taste.”
“Maybe they’ve got no sense of taste at all.”
