A/N: Double drabble.
Slumping onto his sofa, Ryo sighed, glad that Bikky wasn’t here to see him like this. Life had been so much simpler before he’d met Dee, back when he’d still been able to convince himself he was totally straight. Maybe he’d have been better off if he’d been assigned to another precinct instead of the Two-Seven…
But no, then he would never have met Bikky, and whatever complications his promotion to detective had thrown in his path, becoming a single dad to an orphaned boy wasn’t one of them. He loved having Bikky around, loved watching his foster son flourish under his care.
Dee, though… Dee was a problem. Right from the start, he’d turned Ryo’s life upside down, hitting on him, kissing him, stirring feelings inside him that he’d been ruthlessly repressing for years. He couldn’t deny, at least to himself, that he was attracted to his partner, and he did care about Dee, a lot. It was just that Dee wanted so much more from him that he was ready to give. He was still coming to terms with the truth about himself.
If only Dee weren’t so pushy, so demanding…
