Double Drabble: Understatement

A/N: Double drabble.
Since joining Torchwood Three, Ianto had become an expert at removing dents from the team’s primary mode of transport and keeping the SUV spotless and gleaming. He considered it a necessity since people, the police included, were more likely to take Torchwood’s authority over them seriously if they projected an air of efficiency. Driving a battered, mud-splattered Range Rover just made them look sloppy.
There were, however, limits to what he could achieve with the tools and equipment he had to hand, and this time Jack might well have exceeded them. When the team had arrived back at the Hub half an hour ago, Jack had cheerfully tossed Ianto the keys, telling him the SUV could do with a clean, and that it had suffered a couple of minor dents.
“They won’t be a problem though, I’m sure they’ll buff right out,” he’d said as he’d breezed through on his way to his office. “Any chance of a coffee?”
Having brewed and served refreshments, Ianto had made his way to the garage to assess the damage, expecting to find a couple of small dings. Instead, the SUV’s entire left front wing was caved in.
Minor dents? Understatement of the century!
