A/N: Double drabble.
This was the man responsible for wrecking Ryo’s life ten years ago. Not the one who’d pulled the trigger, murdering Ryo’s parents in cold blood, the last gunman was now lying dead a few yards away, but the man who’d given the order. He couldn’t have been much more than ten years older than Ryo, calm, poised, urbane, sophisticated…
He even seemed to think that Ryo had every right to gun him down, right here, right now. It was almost as if that was what he wanted, and God knew, it was what Ryo wanted too. Payback for everything he’d gone through since his family had been senselessly ripped apart when he was barely eighteen. Revenge, pure and simple.
Only it wouldn’t be pure, because Leo Grant was unarmed and unable to defend himself, and it wouldn’t be simple, because Ryo was a cop and murder, no matter how justified it might seem to the injured party, was against the law.
Ryo could kill this man, this monster, but what good would that do? It wouldn’t bring his parents back, and it would cost him his job and his freedom. It was tearing him apart, but he couldn’t do it.
